Industry Position The Creative Industries sector in the UK is growing at three times the national average. This intensive one year diagnostic Level 4 Foundation course provides you with the opportunity to explore a broad field of arts practice before committing to any one particular discipline. The creative industry is made up of practitioners who have studied Fine Art, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Illustration, Animation, Design, Fashion, Film, Photography and diversified and adapted to the needs of the industry with a range of fundamental employable skills. Location and centre - Introduction: The Morley College Chelsea, Creative Industries Centre is based between the Kings Road and the Fulham Road in London SW10 in the heart of Chelsea. We are fortunate to be situated within a short bus ride of major galleries and Museums including the Saatchi Gallery, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Science and Natural History Museums in Exhibition Road, and the Serpentine Galleries in Hyde Park. These and other galleries are used for art and design research by our learners. This leading level 4 UAL Foundation course at Morley College will challenge and develop your interests, skills and understanding in art and design. The course is designed to encourage exploration, experimentation and risk taking through project assignments, presentations and group critiques. This will enable you to develop the quality of your work and communication skills. It will provide you with the intensive preparation and portfolio development necessary for progression to higher education and employment in the creative industry How will learning happen: You will be supported in your learning by a team of experienced arts practitioners and educators who understand from personal experience the creative journey of young artists and designers and will guide and support your development.
