What you will learn

This course is the progression to Spanish stage 2, unit 1. It is the second unit of the second year of study (A2) You will further develop your language skills and confidence. You will build up your speaking skills and will learn to express plans and opinions in a range of situations (e.g. shopping, holidays and travel, social events and parties) in a friendly and interactive class. This course is suitable for those who have completed Spanish 1 (A1) or equivalent (approx. 50-70 hours of study) and are ready to work towards A2

  • Shop for clothes and complements
  • Say what you are doing (present continuous)
  • Talk about the past: trips and biographies (past tense)
  • Ask for permission and favours

    Developing speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Learning through practical activities (individual tasks, role-plays, pair and small group work and games).     Entry requirements

    To have basic knowledge of Spanish equivalent to 50-70 hours of tuition (A1). This is the equivalent to the three units of Spanish 1 (and ideally Spanish stage 2, unit 1)

    Good attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class time (1-2 hours)
