A strong interest in music. Access outside of class to a basic recording set up (PC or Mac computer, audio interface, recording software such as Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, etc. and basic microphone) is strongly recommended. Some experience of using Apple computers would be an advantage, but support during class will be given. Basic computer skills, file management, etc.
Some session will require the handing and lifting of audio equipment such as microphone stands, cables. Advice on safe handling of equipment will be given at the beginning of the course. Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
