Aquatint is known for creating tones in etching. This course will explore aquatint techniques using sugar lift, spit bite and white ground. If you have done some etching before, and would like to broaden your practice in etching, this course allows you to introduce new techniques and expand your visual language. Intermediate and advanced students will develop their skills and knowledge through personal projects.
You will learn both through groups demonstrations and individual one-to-one discussions, with technical and critical advice depending on your needs and personal project. The tutor will give demonstrations, presentations and lead group discussions around technical and creative subjects. All students negotiate individual learning goals with tutor and record and assess these on Learning Statements.
Suitable for those already have basic experience in etching.
