This 10-week non accredited course can take you a step further and develop your confidence with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole and decimal numbers. Use fractions, decimals and percentages effectively in your daily life. The course will also prepare you for Functional maths level 1 course.
A blended mode of delivery, both online and socially distanced classroom based. – one lesson a week and homework Assessment methods: Achievement on your course will be measured by formative and self - assessment against the learning outcomes. Your progress towards achieving the learning outcomes will be reviewed throughout the course. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals i.e. progression to another course.
You need to have successfully completed Entry 3 Functional Maths before enrolling.
All new students will be invited to take an initial assessment and interviewed to check their current skills.
You will need a calculator, writing materials, a notebook, geometry set and a computer/tablet for your homework (Mobile phone alone may not be suitable for completing maths assignments) with Internet access.
