The Intermediate Photography Skills course will allow you to improve your camera skills in the studio and on location. If you have completed an Introduction to Photography course, or you feel that you have already picked up a good working knowledge of digital cameras on your own, this course is for you. It will provide a thorough and exciting overview of camera skills and the opportunity to master them when taking photographs in different environments. It is designed for those who would like to realise the potential of their camera and to explore what makes a good photograph. The course will cover the effective use of aperture, shutter speed and on camera flash for the production of creative images. It will also cover basic studio lighting techniques, exploring how to use tungsten lights and flash for portraiture and still life. It will focus on developing the ability to take well-composed pictures, while beginning to think like a photographer. You will be set mini-assignments between classes, as sharing your pictures with the rest of the group will help to build your confidence and take your photos to the next level.
This is a hands-on course and will be delivered in Chelsea Centre. You will learn actively and will practice the demonstrated skills during the sessions with continuous support by the tutor.
