Discover how to use abstraction in your artwork through guided projects. Experiment with a variety of drawing and painting materials, learn about historical and contemporary approaches to abstraction, and develop your own personal vision. Suitable for all levels, but some experience of painting and mixing colour is recommended.
Your tutor will guide you through set studio activities which the whole group will do together. This is a practical course and most of your time will be spent drawing and painting. There will be explanations and demonstrations by the tutor, and a variety of activities including group discussion and peer feedback. Returning students are welcome, as set projects change each term.
Some experience of painting and mixing colour is recommended, but students of all abilities with an open attitude towards experimentation and discussion are welcome.
