Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand UK tax law principles relating to VAT
  • Understand the difference between inputs and outputs, and between input tax and output tax
  • define taxable, standard-rated, reduced-rated, zero-rated and exempt supplies and supplies outside the scope of VAT

Cost

Class format and activities

The course will delivered entirely in-centre. There will be a variety of individual and small/whole group work. You will learn new skills through lectures, demonstrations, worksheets and structured discussions. The teacher will support and give you guidance to enable you to complete the elements required. Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students

Entry requirements

• You will need a passion for learning. You need to be able to commit for the whole duration of the course order to be successful and pass the AAT exams• Leaners must have a minimum of Level 1 in maths and English or GCSEs in in maths and English or learners who have successfully AAT Level 1 award in Bookkeeping, City and guilds Bookkeeping Level 1 or have accounting related work experience
