An introduction to jewellery making for those wishing to learn how to work with traditional precious metal working techniques. Students will practice using copper and learn how to make and size rings. The course will explore using wire and sheet to create ring designs. We will experiment with surfaces textures, finishing and polishing and learn how to shape and solder rings with decorative elements.
No previous experience is required.
Helpful to bring a note book or sketchbook and pen/pencil and an apron.
This course is recommended for those who wish to pursue further studies in jewellery or as preparation for the level 2 UAL Diploma course which starts in Sept 23.
