What you will learn

Mixed United Dance (MUD) combines elements of several dance forms including jazz dance, tap, contemporary and street. The course focuses on technical elements of these differing styles as well as their expressive qualities so that you practise a fusion of dance, forming a unique and pleasurable experience. Taught to a range of different musical styles, this fun and accessible course is open to all.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Have learnt a range of dance movement from different genres: jazz, ballet, contemporary, African and tap
Respond to rhythm and beat with accuracy
Combine short phrases to dance an extended sequence of mixed/fusion dance

Class format and activities

Warm-up followed by practise of dance moves from a fusion of genres (e.g. jazz, tap, ballet, African)
