Use your own life as an inspiration for various forms of creative writing. Not just autobiography and biography but using lived experience as a point of departure for relating life stories.

    This is a practical course. Each week there will different writing activities which will help you to develop your ideas and improve your writing style. You will also look at different models of work and be asked to contribute to class discussions.

    Entry requirements

    A reasonable level of English is required and a willingness to write from your own life experience is essential.

    What you need to know before you enrol

    The content of memoir can sometimes be emotional. Sensitivity and confidentiality is absolutely vital. Students will have access to coursework via Morley Moodle and Microsoft Teams.
