What you will learn

A fun Introductory course over 2 evenings. This course will give you the opportunity to learn about basic metal work for jewellery and make a ring which can be decorated and personalised

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Familiarise with the Jewellery Studio, equipment and health and safety precautions
  • Understand metal properties, annealing, work hardening and manipulation of metal
  • Use basic jewellery skills of piercing, drilling, shaping using pliers, soldering, pickling, filing up and cleaning
  • Use basic skills to make a ring

    This course is scheduled to run in a face to face delivery format. Tutor will give practical demonstrations and students will practice the techniques exploring them to design and make their own personal jewellery article.
