What you will learn

Ideal for students who have completed Logic: beginners or have similar experience. Learn how to create your own synthesizer sounds and apple loops. Improve your tracks with automation and effects. Ideal in conjunction with Home Studio Recording.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Use a variety of audio effects to enhance your tracks, working with the actual parameters, not just presets
  • Apply effects using both inserts and sends
  • Apply the basics of synthesis across a variety of synthesizer
  • Record with the inbuilt Logic arpeggiator and other MIDI FX
  • Use automation and MIDI controllers
  • Programme beats and automation using the Step Sequencer

Entry requirements

Completion of Logic Beginners or equivalent experience. Access outside of class to Logic is strongly recommended A strong interest in music. Some experience of using Apple computers would be an advantage, but support during class will be given. Basic computer skills, file management, etc.

Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
