Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Apply Flex Pitch and Flex Time editing creatively and to correct imperfections
  • Create your own sample instruments using Quick Sampler, Sampler, Alchemy and Drum Machine Designer
  • Use Smart Tempo to tempo match various audio and MIDI content
  • Use a variety of side-chaining procedures
  • Mix using advanced routing e.g. VCA groups, various types of send and parallel processing
  • Delve deeper into synthesis by assigning LFOs and ADSR envelopes to various plugin parameters
  • Use Smart Controls to improve your workflow and creative possibilities

    Entry requirements

    Access outside of class to Logic is strongly recommended A strong interest in music. Some experience of using Apple computers would be an advantage, but support during class will be given. Basic computer skills, file management, etc.

    Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson.
