What you will learn

This course is a continuation from Key Concepts in Science: Physics, however no prior knowledge is required. Learn in greater detail the basic fundamentals and principles of physics in a series of fun, hands-on sessions.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explore the nature of heat and temperature
  • Describe the types of radiation in the electromagnetic spectrum and understand their uses
  • Investigate electrical and magnetic phenomena and build an electric motor
  • Understand the effect of gravity on objects on the Earth and explain the motion of planets and satellites
  • Explore the particles and forces inside the atom and describe the processes of radioactive decay, fission and fusion

    Entry requirements

    Open to all - no prior knowledge required. It is recommended that Key Concepts in Science: Physics is taken before this course, however this is not essential.
