What you will learn

This introductory course is for anyone who wants to find out more about Environmental Science for fun or for future study. Learn about the main ecosystems and their organisational levels, the impact of climate on habitats and human populations, and how biological and chemical conditions within an environment can indicate environmental change

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the differences between the main ecosystems
  • describe different nutritional patterns
  • discuss the impact of climate on habitats
  • discuss the impact of climate on human populations
  • use basic laboratory techniques to investigate environmental samples
  • describe biological and chemical conditions within an environment that can fluctuate
