A course designed for players with two or more years of playing experience on bass that are willing to explore the role of the bass in Jazz Music. This is the second term of this online course.
Students are given handouts for each lesson., The tutor explains and demonstrates examples so that students can copy or develop ideas., The tutor accompanies on bass guitar or piano so that students develop a sense of performance., Theory of music, phrasing, harmony, rhythm and technique is applied in a practical way., Students are provided with pre-recorded mp3 audio files for practice at home.
A reasonable command of your instrument and a basic understanding of chord symbols and harmony is required, The course follows on from Bass Guitar 3, but is also designed for those who have not attended before., If in doubt, please discuss with the tutor which bass guitar course you are most suited for., Online enrolment on term 3 of this course is only available to those enrolled in the previous term.
