Keep up the momentum from what you learnt at Stage 4 Unit 2 and develop your skills and confidence. Learn more new sentence structure, eg. "when" clause, conditional sentences etc.
The course will be delivered using spoken and written forms, and other tools including powerpoint slides and interactive presentation. The teacher also uses Microsoft Teams to support online learning. During the lesson students will interact using group or pair work, quizzes, games etc. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals i.e. progression to an advanced- level course.
You should be able to read and write Hiragana, Katakana and approx.120 Kanji. You should know how to make te-form, nai-form and dictionary form of verbs. And you should be able to speak using both polite and casual form.
Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class. You will be expected to access online resource, Moodle VLE to do your weekly homework.
You will need to bring note-taking materials.
Your tutor will advise at the end of the course.
