What you will learn

Keep up the momentum from what you learnt at Stage 1 Term 2 and develop more of your skills and confidence. Learn to describe the location of objects etc. Also learn how to describe the daily routine including your feeling.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • be able to describe the location of objects, persons and buildings
  • be able to describe what you gave and received on occasion such as birthday or Christmas
  • be able to give the reason
  • scan short texts (approx.150 characters) written is Hiragana

  • Class format and activities

    The course will be delivered using spoken and written forms, as well as other tools including powerpoint slides and interactive presentation. The teacher also uses Microsoft Teams to support online learning. During the lesson students will interact using group or pair work, quizzes, games etc. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals.

    Entry requirements

    You should be able to read and write all Hiragana (fluency is not essential.) You should be able to describe your daily routine including time, transport and places.

    What you need to know before you enrol

    Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class. You will be expected to access online resource to do your weekly homework.
