This course is for students who completed Japanese Advanced Unit 2 at Morley college. You will study not only everyday-Japanese language but also understand the Japanese way of thinking and sense of seasons. You can build your proficiency in Japanese across all four skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The course will be delivered using spoken and written forms, and other tools including powerpoint slides and interactive presentation. The teacher also uses colleges online learning platform. During the lesson students will interact using group or pair work, quizzes, games etc. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals
You should have completed the grammar points of Minna no nihongo Book 2. You should read and write approx. 500 Kanji. You should also be able to listen to and understand medium speed conversations encountered in daily life.
Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class. You will be expected to access online resource to do your weekly homework.
You need to bring note-taking materials.
