Learn to speak Italian on this communicative course for beginners, with the emphasis on the practical use of Italian and the development of your speaking and listening skills so that you can begin communicating quickly in Italian. This course aims to introduce you to the basic aspects of the Italian language and to enable you to take part in simple conversations. You'll learn the necessary vocabulary and grammar to take part in simple conversations, and you'll lay the groundwork for future learning. Virtual travel in Italy in places of interest

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • introduce yourself and understand others
  • exchange personal information (name, nationality, job etc)
  • Get by in simple everyday situations, for example order food from a menu, understand prices etc.
  • talk about leisure activities, express likes and dislikes
  • Write a simple email

Class format and activities

This course is characterised by spoken interaction and communication. We will practice speaking, to gain confidence. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays, games, listen to videos. our learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.

Stage 1 unit 1 course - no previous knowledge of Italian required.
