What you will learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Read and listen to authentic texts from different sources and media
- Express your opinion on selected intercultural topics
- Test your knowledge of Italian geography, customs, history and arts
- Reflect on specific language structures at an advanced level
Class format and activities
You will communicate with video lessons and focus on the language with very effective learning activities and materials between lessons. You will become more confident in using vocabulary, tenses and various language structures. You will get clear guidance and ongoing, regular and informal feedback from your tutor, in a friendly and supportive environment. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals.
No formal qualifications are necessary; a working knowledge of the Italian language is required to be able to follow the course in Italian only.

You will do independent reading, research and language activities before every lesson. Excellent attendance and punctuality is required.

You will need a device to access online video sessions and materials (handouts and links to various websites), supplied by your tutor in Moodle, and a textbook for this course.
