What you will learn

Create textiles in a stimulating and supported workshop environment. Develop your own projects to enhance your practice, to exhibit or work to commission. An optional group topic will be offered as a focus. Special attention will be given to current exhibitions, study and textiles practice. This Term's specialist offer includes a broad range of stitched, constructed and 3 dimensional textiles, underpinned by a helpful framework of design development . Students are encouraged to visit and discuss current exhibitions and contemporary textile practice. The course is suitable for those with intermediate textile experience,people who would like to prepare a portfolio of work towards higher education; and advanced students wishing to broaden their practice.ourse can be taken as either or both of t he 6 week blocks. n is given to current exhibitions ign development course is suitable for those with advanced textiles experience, such as a degree, or who have completed the Textiles Foundation course, who wish to further their practice in this and related areas including preparing a professional portfolio. The group hold an end of year exhibition and participate in other opportunities arising through Morley. Entry is by informal interview with a portfolio of recent work. There is a studio fee for cloth and some specialist materials.

    You should have intermediate experience with textiles, and be able to work independently; have completed the Textile Foundation course at Morley College or have a higher level textile qualification. lege, or a B A in Textiles, or City & Guilds Certificate, or a Diploma in a Textile subject - evidence of work - informal interview with tutor.
