What you will learn

Consolidate your basic knowledge of the language. Learn to communicate in a wider variety of everyday situations (e.g., talking about daily routine and leisure activities, expressing opinions, talking about past actions). This course is suitable for those wishing to build on their knowledge of the basics of the language. (Level 2)

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Communicate in everyday situations (e.g. ask and reply to questions about free time, talk about everyday actions and express agreement and disagreement).
  • Use basic verbal forms to talk about events in the past and present
  • Skim-read short texts on a variety of everyday topics (e.g. personal introduction, work schedules, timetables and numbers) to understand the gist
  • Write short sentences on a variety of everyday topics e.g. personal introduction, past and present hobbies
