What you will learn

Improve your French, gain confidence, fluency and accuracy. Learn more advanced tenses and practice in a range of situations (e.g. holidays and travel). Discuss different topics, give opinions and explain reasons. Continue to study aspect of French culture, and other French speaking countries, including a little art, architecture, habits, cuisine etc. Virtual travel from time to time.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Find and understand relevant information in everyday material (e.g. brochures, short documents, short articles)
  • Understand the main points of a conversation or short presentation in clear standard speech on matter encountered in life
  • Write a letter or passage, giving or requesting information or opinions
  • Read texts on aspects of French culture, art, places, activities
  • Learn advanced tenses, such as subjunctive and past perfect

    Practise speaking, listening, reading and writing Learning through practical activities. Complete grammar exercises. Revise topics (e.g. vocabulary) and grammar points, but expand. Learn some cultural aspects of France and places of interest. Watch videos with/without transcript and and discuss topic covered.

    This course is aimed at students who have completed French Stage 3 Unit 2, have studies for over 2 years or have a rusty GCSE

    Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class time
