What you will learn

Improve your French, fluency, accuracy and gain confidence. Build on your knowledge of the language. Learn some aspects of the French culture and other French Speaking countries. Discuss cultural events, compare traditions, describe family, home, health and the environment. Consolidate your knowledge of the basics of the language, including grammar and pronunciation. Also, we will virtual travel to France and other French speaking countries from time to time.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Read texts from different sources and learn new expressions and vocabulary
  • Discuss and give your opinion on different topics, using new vocabulary and expressions learnt
  • Write short passages, short roleplays, emails
  • Consolidate descriptions of present/past/future events. Learn how to use imperfect tense and conditional

    Entry requirements

    This course is aimed at students who have studied at Stage 2 Unit 2 or have studied French for about 3 years.

    Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class time.
