Printmaking and Bookbinding
…
This is a structured course for those who would like to explore the potential and possibilities of conventional printmaking mediums, such as monoprint, drypoint, etching, aquatint etc.
You will learn to work in the light and well-equipped studio with specialist facilities, and develop ideas and imagery into a portfolio of creative prints. Final prints can be submitted for our Exhibition in July when we enjoy a lively Private View to celebrate the work created during the year on all our courses. In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
Beginners welcome
The Printmaking Studio is at the Morley Chelsea Centre, Hortensia Road SW10 in the Carlyle building, room CG05 on the ground floor.
You need to bring: a sketchbook some art equipment such as pencils, eraser, a range of brushes, stanley/craft knife. There is a studio fee of £30.00 payable to the tutor which covers basic materials, except paper and plates which you pay extra for as you use them. All materials are available to buy in the studio.
These courses give an opportunity to build a portfolio of prints to assist progression to our intermediate and advanced printmaking course or other art courses.
