What you will learn

A course for mid-level students (entry 3 and level 1) to improve their writing ability and range of expression through writing

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Become familiar with writing on different themes eg Utopianism, inspirational writing
  • Practice writing on these themes
  • Learn to write practical documents eg a cover letter, a CV
  • Develop a wider vocabulary for expressing oneself

Class format and activities

2 hours a week, with activities such as reading and understanding different sample texts, discussing these and plenty of supported writing practice!

Entry requirements

All entry 3/level 1 students enthusiastic about and committed to improving and expanding their writing ability

What you need to know before you enrol

Course runs termly and attendance and punctuality is expected; where a student is unable to attend they are asked to inform the teacher

Pen and paper and, under present Covid circumstances, a good internet connection and suitable device for joining the class online
