Now, you understand little English but read and write in your language. You can also use the Roman alphabet. In class, you will learn to listen, speak, read & write more confidently in English. You will prepare for the Entry 1 class next year. There are no exams this term.
On successful completion of the course, you will achieve the following qualification: Award in ESOL Skills for Life (Writing) (Entry 1) [CG]
You will: work individually, in pairs and in groups to develop language skills and confidence - practise listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
At our Advice and Guidance days, you will need to take a test and speak to a teacher before you can enrol.
Good progress depends on good attendance, regular practice of English and completing homework
Lined A4 paper or notebook. Pen, pencil, rubber and A4 file. A smartphone or tablet will be useful in class.
The teacher will advise you on the next step. In term 3 you will prepare for exams.
