Learn how to use your DSLR camera and improve your photographic skills. Taught in our photographic studio and on location, our Digital Photography Skills for Beginners course will put you in control of your camera and open up new horizons for you. The course will cover the basics of photography in terms of shutter speed, aperture and ISO, as well as composition, lenses and white balance. The aim is to get you familiar with your camera’s functions, while photographing different situations and subjects. The course tutor will set you a task to complete between sessions, so as to practice the learnt skills. At the end of the course you will be able to take photographs without relying on the ‘auto’ mode! Students will need to bring their own DSLR or mirrorless camera allowing access to manual controls.
This is a hands-on course and will be delivered in Chelsea Centre. You will learn actively and will practice the demonstrated skills during the sessions with continuous support by the tutor.
The course is suitable for complete beginners, or those who have been using Auto mode and wish to understand their camera’s manual mode
You will need a DSLR, or mirrorless camera that allows access to manual controls.
You can join the Photography Skills: Intermediate course, or the Studio Lighting workshop
