What you will learn

To recognise and to foster talent; these are the founding principles of the undergraduate fashion courses at Morley College London’s Waterloo Centre. The HNC Art & Design (Fashion) will enable you to push the boundaries of your creativity through research and experimentation, underpinned by a solid foundation of technical skills to help you realise your vision. Throughout the course, you will complete design portfolios and capsule collections to professional standards reinforced by signature branding and marketing materials in preparation for further study or a career within the industry. Projects may be interpreted to explore a range of influences, from women’s luxury ready to wear to bespoke tailoring to costume design and construction. Our team of industry professional lecturers and technicians impart their wealth of knowledge to the next generation through exciting projects based on real world scenarios across a range of fashion related disciplines. Examples of our industry focussed HND project briefs are listed in the section below. Can’t wait to get started? • Complete a personal design project through research, experimentation, illustration and garment construction
  • Translate your design concepts into a mini-collection of fully realised garments through pattern cutting, garment construction and draping on the stand
  • Participate in our annual Catwalk Show, showcasing the work of students across our Access to HE Fashion Studies, HNC and HND Art and Design (Fashion), and BA (Hons) Top-Up in Fashion (accredited by Ravensbourne University)
