The approach for the internally assessed units provides opportunities to explore beyond these principles into vocationally linked activities and enables you to receive feedback on your progress throughout the course.
Four GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including English and maths. A Level 1 qualification in an appropriate subject area will be considered if accompanied by a good reference for attitude, behaviour, attendance and punctuality.
What you need to know before you enrol
If you are under 19 years of age and do not have a Grade 4 in either/or maths and English, you will be required to retake these alongside your vocational course.
What you need
You should arrive to your lessons prepared to learn with pens, pencils and writing pad. All other resources and materials you need will be provided. In the event of teaching moving online, you will need a computer with internet access for online lessons via MS Teams on a daily basis.
What you can do next
Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress to related vocational qualifications at Level 3, such as Applied Science, including Forensic Science and Medical Science.
