What you will learn

You will discover the art of writing some essential Sanskrit characters using the traditional writing tools (sketch pens, ice-cream strips, ink, pencil, eraser, ruler, sharpener, and calligraphy pen) in this Sanskrit calligraphy class. Sanskrit is one of the ancient scripts and called Devanagari Script.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Learn basic Sanskrit strokes and structures, the rules for stoke order and the correct way to draw strokes
  • Know the essential calligraphy tools and materials
  • Learnt groups of varnamala (alphabets)
  • Create a piece of Sanskrit calligraphy of your own to take home with you
