What you will learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Maintain more sophisticated face-to-face conversations on familiar topics (e.g. describing your daily routine by using the present tense and talking about going out with friends)
- Listen for gist and details using keywords to extract specific information.
- Read news from website newspaper.
- Write your CV in Arabic.
Class format and activities
In class, students are encouraged to interact with each other using Arabic, practising the vocabulary, tenses and language structures learnt in pairs or in small groups. Outside of the class, students are encouraged to revise what has been taught, so that progress may be made. The written activities will be mostly set as homework. At the start of the course, you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals
We recommend that you complete Stage 4 Unit 3 at Morley College or equivalent before enrolling for this course or you studied Arabic for at least 3 years
What you need to know before you enrol
You will do independent reading, research and language activities before every lesson. Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
