What you will learn

This fun and engaging one day introduction course will provide you with a gentle introduction into the world of botany. We will discuss why we study plants, what the different branches of botany are and how we can classify plants into different groups based on their features.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • State some of the branches of botany
  • understand the reasons why we study plants
  • Classify plants into different groups
  • Describe the process of photosynthesis

    This course will be offered in centre. You will be taught in a number of different ways including presentations with visual examples, discussions and problem solving activities. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above.
