What you will learn

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to develop their reading, writing and spoken English and improve their understanding of the rules of spelling, grammar and punctuation. The course is perfect for those who are thinking of studying Functional Skills at either Level One or Level Two, but currently have skills that need working on. This is a non exam based course and the focus is more on development of skills than formal assessment.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Class format and activities

The class will support learners with their development of written English and help them improve their vocabulary, spelling, grammar and punctuation. It will also help learners become more confident readers of English.

Entry requirements

This class is suitable for native speakers and those who have already completed ESOL qualifications. It is designed to help students progress on to the next level of a Functional Skills qualification and focuses on building skills and confidence.
