The course takes the form of weekly masterclasses. All students are invited to bring along their chosen repertoire, in consultation with the tutor and pianist. At the beginning of each session, all students are allocated individual timeslots, during which they perform their chosen songs, and then they work on various aspects with the tutor and pianist, such as technique, interpretation of the score, pronunciation of the text etc. The rest of the group participates in peer feedback, questions and answers, and occasional group exercises. Students receive regular feedback from tutor, accompanist and peers, alongside advice on further repertoire. There is an informal performance and final feedback session at the end of the term. In order to ensure you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular constructive and supportive feedback from your tutor.
