This course will provide an opportunity for experienced printmakers to further their exploration of the diverse processes and techniques offered in print.
Specially tailored technical demonstrations and workshops will encourage further exploration of the diverse creative potential of printmaking. In addition, you will be supported through individual tutorials and group critiques which are aimed at encouraging a useful reflective practice. In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
Experience working in an etching/printmaking workshop
The Printmaking Studio is at the Morley Chelsea Centre, Hortensia Road SW10 in the Carlyle building, room CG05 on the ground floor.
You need to bring: some art equipment such as pencils, eraser, a range of brushes, stanley/craft knife. There is a studio fee of £30.00 payable to the tutor which covers basic materials, except paper and plates which you pay extra for as you use them. All materials are available to buy in the studio. Students who have completed this course have gone on to study at post graduate level or have gained sufficient confidence to work independently in open access print workshops.
