What you will learn

Acting for beginners is an entry level course for those interested in starting their journey in acting. The course would also be great for those wanting to increase confidence and work with others collaboratively in a fun and supportive environment. Chloe’s approach is fun and inclusive and she will invite you into explore acting exercises in an open and supportive way. You will learn the essential skills an actor needs, so that you can progress onto our Acting: Introduction course.

Class format and activities

The classes will involve playing games, exploring how to work as an ensemble, improvising and looking at short sections of text to develop character. Chloe specialises in directing devised and collaborative theatre. She is the Programme Manager for Drama and co-founded Page One Theatre 2012. She studied Drama and Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths University, and then went on to gain an MA in Movement Studies at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Chloe started her career in theatre working in casting at Shakespeare’s Globe, and went on to work in the casting department at the Royal National Theatre. She has taught at ALRA South, the BRIT School, Mountview Academy, Rose Bruford and Royal Central School and Speech and Drama.
