Principles of Project Management
What you will learn
This practical course will equip learners with essential tools required to deliver projects of various sizes on time, on budget and to specification.
By the end of the course you will be able to
- Understand what is a project and what is a project's management cycle
- Scope the project using appropriate analytical and information gathering tools
- Plan the project using appropriate planning tools, e.g. Gantt chart
- Implement the plan
- Evaluate the project
Class format and activities
This is a hands-on course. You will learn how to manage a project in a supportive environment with regular feedback from your tutor. You will also be able to work with your fellow on some practical project management tasks and share your views and experiences with them.
In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
You need to be aged 19 or above.
To get the most out of your class you should have a good working knowledge of written and spoken English.
