Russian Stage 1 Unit 2
What you will learn
Join us and build on your knowledge of Russian. Learn to communicate in a wider variety of everyday situations: participating in leisure activities, booking a hotel room, ordering food in a restaurant, talking about your hobbies expressing your likes and dislikes. Communicate in these situations and develop the skills to get your message across.
This course aims to promote successful language learning together with an understanding of Russian Culture and society.
By the end of the course you will be able to
- Communicate in everyday situations in the present and past tenses
- Listen for a gist of a short conversation
- Understand simple menus and hotel information, discuss your hobbiese
- Give basic information in writing: personal details on a hotel registration form
- Talk about what you did, where you have been and what languages you speak
Class format and activities
A positive culture that is student centred, open, inclusive and empowering will be promoted in the class. Students will be encouraged to practise their reading, listening and speaking skills by engaging, interacting and supporting each other through different activities: group work, pair work, games, individual tasks and role-plays.
Written activities will be regularly set as part of homework.
In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
Russian Stage 1 Unit 1 or an equivalent level course
