What you will learn

Explore simple and effective ways to relax the body, quieten the mind and promote tranquillity regardless of your environment, explore and fell safe to share your experience within the first weeks of this course aimed at both complete beginners and those who already have a meditation practice.

By the end of the course you will be able to

  • Begin or deepen a personal meditation practice.
  • Explore different meditation practices.
  • Appreciate the power of meditation to support mental balance, health and wellness.

Class format and activities

Weekly timetabled class in college with social distancing. The class will provide the time and space to develop your practice through a mixture of guided meditation and gentle, structured movement. The sessions will include practices such as body scans, simple breathing techniques, sitting and walking meditations.

In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
