On this year-long course, students will gain a deeper understanding of acting and performance making, while developing a profile as a performing arts professional. Students will develop acting skills through a range of approaches, including text, movement, devising, film and radio.
The programme is designed as a ‘top-up year’ for those who have an HND Level 5 qualification in Performing Arts or those with equivalent relevant experience (for example, the first two years of a related degree), allowing students to gain a BA (Hons) in Acting.
The course structure is focused around a number of assessed industry-standard projects and assignments, which allow you to explore what you learn in the classroom and strengthen your knowledge further. These projects and assignments will also help you to develop transferable skills, such as problem solving, critical and creative thinking, time management and working as part of a team.
You will leave the programme with the skills to work in theatre, film, television and radio as well being an accomplished maker of your own work.
In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
