This course will be taught via an exciting blend of online learning and in physical studio spaces at Morley College. You will learn via a mix of presentation, active learning exercises, assignments, demonstrations, hand-outs, step-by-step instructions, pair working and group discussion. One-to-one tuition will be given to help develop ideas and skills. There are many advantages to learning in an online environment - benefit from anytime-access to an archive of course materials, resources and links to help you with projects and assignments.

Course Structure

The Access HE Diploma in Creative Digital Media at Morley College London is run in partnership with the London College of Communication (UAL). To assist your application to University you’ll learn both practical skills and theoretical thinking through exciting and challenging projects which cover a wide range of modern digital media technologies - all taught in specialist studios with the latest equipment.

Produce exciting work across the following disciplines: Digital Animation, Digital Image Manipulation and Output, Web Design, Graphic Design; Digital Special Effects, 3D Computer Modelling, Photography and Filmmaking. You will work to professional briefs and learn to brand yourself through digital portfolio building. A key part of your daily work will be keeping a portfolio blog and social media presence to share your words and images as you develop your work. You will also devise and mount your own public exhibitions and work on live briefs in partnership with professional organisations.

In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.

Entry Requirements

In order to participate on this course, you must have an enthusiasm for Digital Media. You must also present a portfolio of work for evaluation at interview. Previous experience in drawing is helpful but not essential. If you are interested in gaining some experience or developing a portfolio before completing an application, you can choose from a range of short courses in Photography, Digital Design, Animation and Filmmaking here at Morley College London.
