What you will learn
A public masterclass given by distinguished pianist Graham Fitch, focusing on performance and practising skills. Graham Fitch is a regular contributor to Pianist magazine, with articles on technique, style and performance. His exclusive video lessons on the Pianist TV channel have received thousands of viewings worldwide.
By the end of the course you will be able to
- receive feedback in a masterclass-style format from acclaimed teacher and pianist Graham Fitch.
- participate in discussions about technical and stylistic issues in piano performance.
Class format and activities
This is a rare opportunity to participate in and/or observe a masterclass with distinguished teacher, writer and pianist Graham Fitch. 6 participants will be playing works selected from the classical music repertoire and each performance will be followed by discussions on technical and stylistic issues.
Constructive and supportive feedback from your tutor will help you succeed during the class.
Active participants will need to play at around Grade 8 standard and above. Please, contact the music department at 0207 450 1942 for more information and how to enrol.
The masterclass is open to everyone who wishes to observe.
What you need to know before you enrol
Active participants should be of about Grade 7-8 standard, and will need to bring one or more pieces of total duration 8-10 min from the classical repertoire that they have prepared to a fluent level (memorisation is not required).

A copy of the piece(s) you will play for the tutor.
