What you will learn
Learn about the London beneath your feet on a day of talks, films and discussion about crypts, hidden rivers, tunnels, sewage pipes, air raid shelters and of course underground railways hosted by Footprints of London guide Rob Smith.
By the end of the course you will be able to
- Understand more about the hidden infrastructure that les beneath our feet. Appreciate the innovative nature of the Subterranean in Victorian London. Discover places to visit across London. Find films which have featured underground places.

Presentation about Subterranean places, class debate, film shows, analysis of paintings and photographs
