By the end of the course you will be able to
- Develop awareness of your vocal and physical impulses
- Respond directly to audience feedback
- Create characters using a variety of techniques
- How to act with masks
Class format and activities
The class will take a practical workshop format. Students will work physically, learn by observing and engage in feedback and reflection through the session.
Constructive and supportive feedback from your tutor will help you succeed during the class.
Students should have good fitness and energy levels, although no formal training is required and the group benefits from having participants from different ages and life experiences. A sense of humour is essential.
What you will need for your class
Wear clothes that you can move in and bring water.
What you can do next
The Drama Department offers a wide range of drama and acting courses at a variety of levels. Next year we will offer a term long course in Physical Theatre that you could progress onto after this short course.
