Learn both practical skills and theoretical thinking through exciting and challenging projects which cover a wide range of modern digital media technologies - all taught in specialist studios with the latest equipment. In addition to a dedicated digital design studio, we have a well-equipped photography studio with MacBook laptops to support postproduction and design of images. The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification which develops skills and outcomes for a strong, individualised portfolio. Our Access courses are made up of many different types of people coming from many educational backgrounds. You will be supported in your University application, learning how to present your work and understand the variety of career options available within Creative Digital Media.

Produce exciting work across the following disciplines: Digital Animation, Desktop Publishing, Digital Image manipulation and output, Web Design, Graphic Design; communicating messages with words and images, Photography and filmmaking; including working to a professional brief and location portraiture, branding yourself through digital portfolio building and taking part in an exhibition of your work. You will keep a sketchbook of ideas and inspirations and understand how to store and protect your work digitally. A key part of your daily work will be keeping a portfolio blog and social media presence to share your words and images as you develop your work.
You will work independently and in small groups on professional level briefs, receive regular tutorials and feedback on your work and distance learning projects to help you produce great work. The main units are supported with student skills topics to help you research information, take notes and present your work to others effectively.
