Lisa is a working professional theatre director – in addition to freelance work, she has been Associate Artistic Director at Theatre503 (2011-2016) and Associate Director at Southwark Playhouse (2009-2011). Her most recent production, We Wait In Joyful Hope by Brian Mullin at Theatre503, was nominated for four OffWestEnd “Offie” awards.
Other plays she has directed include The Nightclub and F***ing Feminists (Hampstead Theatre, Women Centre Stage Festival); Animals and Dog Days (Theatre503); Billy Chickens Is A Psychopath Superstar (Theatre503/Latitude Festival); Anansi: An African Fairy Tale (Southwark Playhouse); How To Be Female (Pleasance); Death Of A Cyclist (Miniaturists, Arcola Theatre).
Lisa has formerly taught acting at Barking College and directed productions for acting students at ALRA. She has been teaching at Morley since 2015 and directed Love And Information by Caryl Churchill for the Morley Theatre Company in Spring 2016.
Lisa has a BA in Theatre Arts from Brandeis University (USA), an MA in Directing (Theatre Arts) from Goldsmiths College, and has also trained on National Theatre Studio Directors Course.
