Caroline has a BA from Central in Printed textiles together with a Postgraduate from Goldsmiths in Textile Art and an MA in Public Art from Chelsea. She has taught extensively in Adult Education from beginners to advanced level, on Foundation and on Degree and MA courses, and is currently teaching short courses across the UK and abroad.
Trained as a textile designer, her current practice is based around print, stitch and manipulation using a range of processes, as appropriate, to her ideas, producing both site specific and gallery based work. Caroline has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally. Noteworthy exhibitions have included the Rijswijk Textile Biennale, Cloth and Memory, Collect and SOFA, and her work can be seen in the collections of the Crafts Council, the Whitworth, Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Embroiderers Guild, amongst others.
She has travelled extensively fuelling her passion for textiles and informing her understanding and knowledge of textiles as an area of practice.
